The Sisterhood of the World’s Blogger Award

I am not much of a blogger; the long intervals of absence that come in between prove so. But I have a passion for words and sometimes I find myself sitting in front of my laptop and put in a document that has been nagging on the hinges of my brain for quite some time.
Here, my beautiful and extremely talented friend “emphadiate” nominated me for the Sisterhood of the world’s blogger award! Yay! Hurray! Though I know there are many who are more worthy and more wonderful writers that deserve the award, I thank you Hadia! for nominating me.
My answer to the questions that Hadia asked me (woohoo!):

1. Why did you start blogging?

I think I could write and I wanted to show it off. lol jk.

When I started blogging I wasn’t a person who could woo people with her verbal skills. Therefore my outlet was always a pen and a paper. With time even though I managed voicing out my words and became this extremely fierce woman, life turned in such a way that if I wouldn’t bleed on paper I’d jump off a bridge. And writing felt so much better.

2. Where does the inspiration for your blog posts come from?

A very honest declaration: I fabricate, exaggerate and create fiction from non-fiction – mostly what I write isn’t just my imagination, it’s a part of my life too, that I rather not tell anyone. So there’s my inspiration.

3. What does writing mean to you?

An arm, a leg.

4. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I honestly truly literally have no idea. And I am bloody scared of the future. I know what I want but I know I might not get it.

5. How do you respond to criticism?

If it’s from friends I try to understand and change myself for the better. Positive criticism is always appreciated. The rest of the time, as I am not a sensitive person, I don’t give a crap.

6. What’s your most ludicrous ambition/desire?

To get what I want. And that I can’t say.

7. Given the choice, which TV show would you appear on/in?

Downton Abbey.

8. What would you wear to a red carpet event?

A black lace cocktail dress

9. If you could befriend a famous personality (dead or alive), who would it be?

Ashfaq Ahmed.

10. Share one of your favourite quotes:

This keeps me going:
“I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope, for hope would be hope for the wrong thing.
What will happen will happen. There is time for miracles until there is no more time, but time has no end.”

Oh and one more:

“And in that moment I swear we were infinite.”

(I wish I could feel that again)

I further nominate:

The following rules apply, if you choose to accept the award:

  1.  Provide the link to the person who nominated you.
  2.  Add the reward logo. (Above image)
  3.  Answer the questions your nominator has asked
  4.  Nominate other bloggers and let them know via comments.
  5.  Ask your nominees 10 questions.

My questions (drum rolls pls!):

1. Why do you write?

2. What is that one thing that keeps you going?

3. Are you a black&white person or do you reside in the shades of grey?

4. When have you been the most unsure of yourself?

5. Has a broken heart ever been an inspiration behind your writing?

6. How do you see life?

7. Favorite quotes?

8.  Which movie/novel describes your life?

9. What is your synonym to love? One word.

10. Describe yourself in three lines (Sounds like a “Myself” essay. Sorry :D).

Thank you Hadia!
